An online community to share art and craft projects inspired by books
Bookmarked — from Search Press and David & Charles — is a free membership website where book lovers are inspired by the projects, authors and readers behind art and craft books. Members view articles, connect with authors, and search for books on the subjects they're passionate about.
The challenge
There is a huge amount of content on Bookmarked — over 1,000 books listed. Making that discoverable was crucial: the user experience had to stay straightforward, with filters and search that let visitors quickly find the content most relevant to them.
What we built
A free-membership community platform with articles, author connections and rich book discovery — underpinned by robust filtering and search across the catalogue. A key requirement was a scalable CMS: the team can manage and update content as needed, on a platform built to grow and evolve as requirements change.
The result
Live since early 2021 and continually evolving, with more CMS features added over time. Membership is growing rapidly and the site draws strong referral traffic — a good sign it's offering a great experience.
